POLSAFE products are used at various operational levels where
audio/visual recordings are needed.
Existing police working practice expects important recordings
to be stored on independent WORM (Write Once Read Many) disks.
POLSAFE-Master
is a quick and easy system to make master copies of audio/visual
recordings safe on DVD close to the point of capture.
POLSAFE-BCU anticipates that
police working procedures and guidelines are changing* and
provides an easy transition to a filestore system from POLSAFE-Master.
With POLSAFE-BCU all new recordings can be input into the
store by a combination of direct input and fast import from
POLSAFE-Master DVDs.
Any recordings in a physical
archive of POLSAFE-Master DVDs can be quickly and easily imported
into a POLSAFE filestore.
POLSAFE-BCU is a stand-alone system, that, over time, is likely
to need its access extended.

POLSAFE-Enterprise is the next
logical development from POLSAFE-BCU. It takes many forms
and is configured exactly to meet your needs. POLSAFE-Web
is key to this and provides the sole user access the audio/visual
store.
With POLSAFE-Web a single POLSAFE-BCU deployment can be opened
up to allow multiple user access within a single police station,
for example. It can be further opened up to other police stations
via the force-wide intranet as required.
Other BCU deployments can have their access opened up in the
same way, resulting in a multiple user distributed audio/visual
store.
Finally, you can make specific audio/visual material available
beyond the police force intranet. This will provide POLSAFE
access to police outside their force intranet, possibly working
from home. It will also give access to third parties such
as the CPS, as well as restricted access to the public at
large.
POLSAFE products allow you to start managing audio/visual
material in a consistent and coherent way from day one. The
low-cost entry level system, POLSAFE-Master, is compatible
with and can be part of a phased upgrade plan to a fully fledged
force-wide enterprise system. With POLSAFE you control when
and how to upgrade your system.
